Abstract

The issue of truth is addressed through the chronic distrust of truth and the innate desire for it in human beings, through existential questions: Who am I? What is my truth? The truths of faith are integrated with the use of reason in theological work, which faces many challenges.

Author Biography

Nelson Medina Ferrer, Universidad de Santo Tomás de Aquino

Fray Nelson Medina, O.P., was born on May 13, 1965, in Bogotá, Colombia, to Bernardino and Maruja. He is the third of four siblings, all of whom attended Santo Tomás School, run by the Dominicans in the same capital city. A diligent student, he represented Colombia in the International Mathematics Olympiads in 1981 (United States) and 1982 (Hungary). After completing high school, he pursued studies in Pure Physics at the National University of Colombia.
