Abstract

This article is about the Aymara aphorism qhip nayr uñtasis
sarnaqapxañani and its possible reading horizons. Apart from its
usual ethical and epistemological readings, an Existenziall reading is
proposed that can identify possible ontological assumptions within the
aphorism, in the spirit of the Aymara peoples who have transmitted it.
