Abstract

The article discusses the theme of mercy in Christianity. It highlights the importance of followers of Jesus practicing mercy and how Jesus himself demonstrated mercy through his actions. It references Henri Nouwen's reflections on God's mercy and the significance of Jesus Christ as the source of mercy for all human beings. Additionally, it addresses the practice of mercy in the Church and its importance in building a "civilization of love." The article cites texts from various religious leaders and focuses on mercy as a key value within Christianity.

Luís Llanos Sanchez, Facultad de Teología San Pablo

Catalan, educational psychologist by training, obtained his degree in Sacred Theology from the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome. He currently resides in Cochabamba, where he earned a Master's degree in Pastoral Theology from the Faculty of Theology San Pablo.
